Boise Idaho Wedding Band Music

There is no doubt that a “live” band can make or break for a memorable wedding reception. The excitement of a band along with the organized flow of an MC is the main reason your family and friends will have a great time! We know there is a big concern that goes into hiring, not only a talented band but one that shows up on time, is dressed appropriately, and knows how to control the flow of your event. Finding a solid wedding band is a matter of asking friends, researching reputation, and taking time to listen to their sound.

Finding a Wedding Band within your budget

Weddings come with many costs and entertainment is a large part. Having little or no budget for entertainment can diminish the quality of your wedding. Your family will love the food but always remember the music. When a potential wedding band is found, it is important to act quickly. Big Wow band typically books 15 to 20 weddings each year because we are a top act and typically book weddings as much as one year in advance. Though Big Wow is not the band for all events, we know the importance of covering many genres of music to fit the tastes of most weddings. We do want your business and can't stress enough the importance of music budget. Keep in mind that a hiring a band for your wedding that only costs you $600, will most likely get you a mediocre band.

Keep an open mind and consider these points:

MOOD / AMBIANCE:

The type of band you choose will set the tone of your wedding and provide memories for years to come. Remember, it's the one thing that guests most often enjoy and remember. Though you want to think about what music best reflects your personality, a band that is excellent at playing only 80’s Hair Rock, might not be what your family will enjoy. People want to party and dance. A great country rock band might be good but some folks just do not like country. The type of music you choose will decide the ambiance of your wedding.

VARIETY:

Are you a little bit country, while he's a little bit Motown? Do you like only fast songs? Regardless of whether you choose a band or DJ, they must play slow and fast songs in a manner that flows and fits your event. Oldies and current songs will encourage all your guests to hit the dance floor and different times.

BUDGET:

In the price scale, DJs generally cost between $600 and $1200 depending on hours (prices vary depending on equipment, whether it's a weekday or a weekend, & number of hours). Bands (top acts) vary in price from $1500 to $3000 excluding any travel expenses. A 4-piece band will generally be less expensive than an 8-piece band. Prices vary by the number of musicians, the amount of time you want them to play, day of the week, and ceremony vs. reception times.

We know that not only the bride & groom are important but your parents and immediate family members are important, as well. The one thing you can say about Big Wow Band is that we settle only for your 100% satisfaction.

We understand we have one chance to get it right and commit to making it so!
